Not every situation calls for a permanent ban. A kick removes a disruptive member from your server right away while leaving the door open for them to return — making it the go-to tool when you need a strong consequence without a full-on ban.

Description

The /kick command immediately removes a member from your server. Unlike a ban, a kicked member is not blocked from your server permanently — they can rejoin at any time if they have a valid invite link. The kick and any provided reason are logged in Burger Bot’s moderation records so your team maintains a full history of disciplinary actions.

Example Usage

Kick a member for ignoring moderator instructions:
/kick @ChaosGremlin Ignoring moderator instructions after multiple warnings
Kick a member for disruptive behaviour:
/kick @ChaosGremlin Continued disruptive behaviour in voice channels
Kick without a reason:
/kick @ChaosGremlin
Kicked members are not prevented from rejoining your server. If you want to prevent someone from returning entirely, use /ban instead. Kicking is best suited for situations where you want to give a member a firm reset without permanently excluding them.
A kick pairs well with a prior /warn or /timeout. If a member has already been warned and timed out but is still causing problems, a kick sends a clear signal that the next step is a ban — especially if you communicate that to them before they rejoin.
