Every piece of feedback submitted through /submitfeedback is recorded in full detail in your server’s feedback logs channel — a private, admin-only channel that serves as the authoritative record of all staff feedback activity. While the public feedback channel shows anonymized embeds to the community, the feedback logs channel reveals the complete picture, including submitter identity, for moderation and accountability purposes.

What Gets Logged

For every feedback submission, Burger Bot posts a detailed log entry to the feedback logs channel containing:
FieldDetails
Submitted byThe Discord user who submitted the feedback (even if shown anonymously publicly)
Target staff memberThe staff member the feedback is about
RatingThe 1–5 star rating given
Feedback textThe full written feedback, untruncated
TimestampExact date and time of submission
Submission IDA unique reference ID for each entry
The feedback logs channel is the only place where the submitter’s identity is visible. The public staff feedback channel always displays submissions as anonymous unless you have explicitly disabled anonymity in your configuration.

Why a Separate Logs Channel?

Keeping a dedicated, restricted feedback logs channel provides several important benefits:
  • Accountability — Admins can investigate suspected bad-faith submissions and take action if needed.
  • Dispute resolution — If a staff member contests feedback, you can verify the source and context.
  • Audit trail — A complete history of all submissions is preserved even if the public feedback channel is cleared.
  • Moderation — You can identify patterns of submission abuse (e.g., one user spamming negative ratings).

Setting Up Your Feedback Logs Channel

The feedback logs channel is configured through Burger Bot’s channel settings. You’ll need a dedicated private channel that only staff leadership and admins can view.

Channel Configuration

Set your feedback logs channel and other Burger Bot output channels via /config channels.

Submit Feedback

Learn how members submit feedback using the /submitfeedback command.

View Ratings

Use /ratings to view aggregated feedback summaries and staff leaderboards.

General Configuration

For best results, keep your feedback infrastructure organized with two separate channels:
ChannelVisibilityPurpose
#staff-feedbackCommunity-visible (or staff-visible)Public feedback embeds, anonymized
#feedback-logsAdmin/leadership onlyFull logs with submitter identity
Lock your #feedback-logs channel to admin and senior leadership roles only. This ensures that junior staff cannot see who submitted feedback about them, preserving the integrity of your anonymous feedback system.
