The /setup command is the fastest way to get Burger Bot fully operational. Rather than configuring each setting individually, /setup launches an interactive wizard that guides you through every critical option in a single, structured session. By the end, all core bot features are live and ready to use.
/setup requires the Discord Administrator permission or the configured Burger Bot Admin Role. For first-time setup, you must have Administrator permissions since no Admin Role has been assigned yet.

Before You Begin

A smooth setup session starts with a little prep work. Before running /setup, make sure you have the following ready in your Discord server:
  • Roles created for Admin, Staff, Moderator, Suggestion Manager, and Feedback Reviewer (or existing roles you want to assign)
  • Channels created for Audit Logs, Suggestions, Staff Feedback, and Session Votes
  • Burger Bot has Administrator permissions and can post in all relevant channels
Run /setup in a private admin-only channel. The wizard sends interactive prompts that your general members don’t need to see.

Running /setup

Type /setup in any channel Burger Bot can access and press Enter. Burger Bot will immediately respond with the first wizard prompt. Each step presents a Discord UI element — a role selector, channel selector, or confirmation button — so there’s no manual text input required.

Wizard Steps

1

Select the Admin Role

Burger Bot asks you to select your server’s Admin Role. Users with this role gain full access to all Burger Bot commands, including configuration commands.Select the appropriate role from the dropdown. If you want to create a dedicated role, close the wizard, create the role in Server Settings, then re-run /setup.

Choose this role carefully. Any member holding the Admin Role will have complete control over Burger Bot’s configuration and all moderation commands.
2

Select Staff Roles

Next, Burger Bot prompts for one or more Staff Roles. Members with a Staff Role can access staff management commands such as issuing warnings, managing sessions, and viewing staff tools. You can select multiple roles if your server uses tiered staff ranks. All selected roles will receive staff-level access.

Select the Moderator Role

Burger Bot prompts for a dedicated Moderator Role. Moderators get access to moderation commands — things like warnings, kicks, and message management — without full staff or admin privileges.
If your server doesn’t distinguish between Staff and Moderator, you can assign the same role to both prompts.
