Review and Grant Permissions
Discord will display a list of permissions that Burger Bot is requesting. Review these carefully. For full functionality, it is strongly recommended to grant the Administrator permission. See the Permissions Guide for a detailed breakdown of what each permission is used for. Click “Authorize” once you’re ready.
Complete the CAPTCHA
Discord may prompt you to complete a quick CAPTCHA to confirm you’re a real user. Complete it to finalize the authorization.
Run /setup in Your Server
Head back to your Discord server. Burger Bot should now appear in your member list. Navigate to a channel and type
/setup to launch the interactive setup wizard. This wizard will guide you through configuring roles, channels, and modules — everything you need to get started. You must have the Manage Server Discord permission (or be the server owner) to invite bots to a server. If the server you want doesn’t appear in the dropdown, you likely don’t have the required permissions on that server.
Permissions Explained
Burger Bot requests the Administrator permission by default. This is the recommended configuration because it ensures every feature works correctly without requiring you to manually troubleshoot missing permissions as you enable new modules. Why Administrator?
Administrator covers all the individual permissions Burger Bot needs: managing messages, kicking and banning users, managing channels, assigning roles, and reading message history. Granting it upfront prevents subtle permission errors.
Prefer Granular Permissions?
If your server’s security policy doesn’t allow Administrator for bots, see the Permissions Guide for the exact list of individual permissions Burger Bot needs per module.
